  • Title: Remedy Development and Description, Part 2 – Remedial Alternatives and Selected Remedies
  • Date/Time/Duration: April 13, 1300-1400 CST (1400-1500 EST)
  • Description: This presentation will address designing remedial alternatives for FSs, explaining how remedial alternatives achieve the RAO, and describing the selected remedy in the ROD.  It will address why we must design site-specific remedial alternatives and should not use the same ones for every MRS.  It will also cover some common remedial alternative errors and explain ways of describing how remedial alternatives achieve the remediation goal.  Finally, the presentation will discuss ways of writing clear selected remedy descriptions and including sufficient detail to lay the foundation for a successful Remedial Action.
  • Presenter: James Salisbury, USACE EM CX ([email protected])
James joined the EM CX in Feb 2021, having worked as a contractor for over 30 years.  His current roles in munitions response include developing and updating guidance, providing training, and performing numerous (some might say too many) document reviews.  He also currently a member of the development teams for both the DoD Risk Management Methodology guidance  and MR-QAPP Toolkit #2.  James is based in Austin, TX.
